Some Updates for your Interest

Jenny and I have just returned from Switzerland after spending time with our dear friends Silvio and Dominique Viotti. They live in Vallorbe.  The purpose of our visit was to share in the celebration of the marriage between their son Raffael and his lovely wife Edwina. What an honour and a privilege it was to participate in their special day. Raffael and Edwina asked me to give them some ‘tips’ on marriage during the gathering.

Thoughts to Encourage Healthy Christian Marriage

This is the essence of what I shared with them. After reading from Ephesians 5:1,2 there were three aspects of marriage that have been the core of our own relationship. The centrality of Jesus in everything.  JB Phillips expresses it like this. “As children copy their fathers you, as God’s children, are to copy Him”

Secondly, I spoke briefly about cultivating friendship. “Live a life of love!”  And then the third aspect of sharing with them was to encourage them both to ‘Give their lives away!’  Paul puts it so clearly to the Christians in Ephesus. “And gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”

A Contact Form Glitch!

If you have tried to contact us in the last few weeks and we have not responded PLEASE try again. It should now be fixed. If you have any problems you can email us at john@hislife.co.uk

Living Beyond The Borders

You will be aware that I have just completed the writing of my first booklet. We have a few copies left if you are interested in reading it. We are soon to add the pdf to the website and it will be available for download. Hopefully, this should take place within the next couple of weeks. You can read what some people have commented on the booklet HERE.

Finally

I have been thinking much in the last couple of weeks about two passages from The Book. The first is John 13. In the opening statement John says, “He now showed them the full extent of His love.” Compare this with Philippians chapter 2. “Who being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing!”   (NIV)

We are called to walk this same road. Think on these things! Our love in the God of all grace to you all.
