What is God-reality? Jesus puts life into sharp focus by telling us to steep or immerse ourselves in God-reality. We look at this Son and see the God who cannot be seen. The things we see in this world are here today and gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever. It’s what we trust in but don’t yet see that keeps us going. So, as believers we are encouraged to steep ourselves in God-reality.
Everything that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously given to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the One who invited us to God.
In other words, everything we need to live this life as Christians has been given to us. This is God-reality! Think about that for a moment. God is so gracious in calling us to Himself. In purchasing our freedom He went for the jugular by sending His Son. He didn’t deal with the problem as something remote and unimportant.
Jesus personally took on the human condition, entered the disordered mess of struggling humanity in order to set it right once and for all.
He was supreme in the beginning and – leading the resurrection parade – He is supreme in the end.
